Matt Wendel

Founder & CEO, Fennec Forge LLC

Matt is a competitive Warhammer 40K player, high school lacrosse coach, and the kind of person who solves problems by building things. When he couldn't find the tournament preparation tools he needed, he didn't wait for someone else to make them — he taught himself to code using AI development tools and built Tabletop Battle Buddy from scratch.

I had zero coding experience. I just had a problem worth solving and the stubbornness to figure it out.

That philosophy — identify a real problem, learn whatever it takes to solve it, then ship it — drives everything at Fennec Forge. Matt brings the same intensity to coaching lacrosse, where his experience with managing practices, tracking player development, and coordinating staff directly informs the company's second product, Coaches Forge.

Based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Matt runs Fennec Forge as a bootstrapped operation, proving that domain expertise combined with modern AI tools can produce real products that serve real communities.
